DATES

This is a special post for my 5th and 6th level students and everybody who wants to learn how to say the dates in English!

In this video you can see and listen to the days of the week, the months of the year, the ordinal numbers and the way to say the years in English.

Halloween Maths Games

In this game, you have to click on the even numbered ghosts! Score 50 points to complete your mission:

In this game, you have to practise the sums. You can play alone or in pair. In the first screen, you have to set the result of the sums by clicking the arrows. In the next screen, write your names. Press next, and start playing! When you see two numbers which sum is the result you set just click on one of them. If you click on a wrong number you will lose points, so be careful!

What's the time?

In the 4th level of Primary Education we are learning how to tell the time. This presentation show you the most important structures: o'clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to; as well as vocabulary about daily routines. At the end there are some activities for you to practise with a partner.

After reviewing the grammar points, try to play these games:

• Read the time and stop the clock when the hands are in the right position
• Move the hands to set the time
• Matching game
• Write the time
• Digital and Analogical clocks

En 4º de Educación Primaria estamos aprendiendo como decir la hora en inglés. Esta presentación os muestra las estructuras mas importantes: en punto, y cuarto, y media, y menos cuarto además de vocabulario sobre las rutinas diarias.

Despés de repasar la gramática, intenta jugar a estos juegos:

• Lee el tiempo y para el reloj cuando las manecillas estén en la posición correcta.
• Mueve las manecillas hasta poner el reloj en la hora correcta.
• Juega a unir
• Escribe la hora
• Relojes analógicos y digitales

Saint Patrick's Day

Today is St. Patrick's Day, the patron saints of Ireland.

Here you have an adapted poem about shamrocks (its symbol).

FIVE GREEN SHAMROCKS

One green shamrock, in the morning dew,

Another one more,

and now there are two.

Two green shamrocks, growing behind a tree;

Another one more,

and now there are three.

Three green shamrocks, next to the house door;

Another one more,

and now there are four.

Four green shamrocks, near a beehive;

Another one more,

and now there are five.

Five little shamrocks, bright and green,

Think of all the luck

these shamrocks will bring.

After reading and trying to learn the poem, choose your favorite shamrock, print and colour it!

• Hangman Game: you have to click on the letters and build up words.
• Matching Game: you have to find pairs (words and pictures)
